Langkawi's 99 islands cover a total land area of 48,848 hectares (120 square miles), making it the second-largest archipelago in the world. Around half of Langkawi’s 99 islands are filled to brimming with heavenly beaches, exotic wildlife, and pristine rainforest trails. The beaches there are considered some of the best in Asia, with powdery white sand, stretching as far as the eye can see and turquoise seas lapping at their shores.
