Feeling trapped after being grounded for close to six months under the Movement Control Order? Wish that you could escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and still stuck in the country? Why not visit some of our local destinations like Fraser's Hill.
Just 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur, Fraser's Hill is well known for its quiet, serene and verdant montane forests. We will be starting off our weekend trip with a 2-hour hike to a hidden waterfall for a swim at Kuala Kubu Bharu, the base of Fraser's Hill.
We would then proceed to Fraser's Hills, a prime destination for birders as there are a number of colourful mountain specialists and endemic birds. So do bring a pair of binoculars (if you have one).
At night, we would embark on an exciting nightwalk where we will show you some of Fraser's Hill's nocturnal residents such as the Malayan Trapdoor Spider (Liphistius malayanus) - a Protected species -; an ancient predator so adept to its environment that it has been largely unchanged since before the dinosaurs existed.
We will be spending a night at a brand new bed & breakfast managed by Stephen Hogg, a professional wildlife photographer that has worked with BBC and National Geographic. The Malaysian Purple Femur Tarantula (Coremiocnemis hoggi) - also a Protected species - that can be found in Fraser's Hill is named after him.
After a delectable breakfast, you can join us for a morning walk or take some time off to enjoy the facilities provided such as the fishing pond, mini golf and the archery range with 3D targets!
Book now as spaces are limited to 10 people. This trip is family-friendly, and suitable for kids above 12.
